Pets

We have three. One dog, two cats. I would have a house full of cats if it wouldn’t make my husband move out. lol.

The cats: Snafu is our big, fluffy white boy. He is sweet. Demanding at times, and a total love muffin. Nova is our little black girl. She is basically a fur covered terrorist. You can sit and watch her literally looking around for stuff to knock over. She is why we cannot have nice things. We love her fiercely.

The dog: Teddy B, aka Sausage. He is lazy and fat. He barks at strangers like he will take their face off, but when a deer wanders into the yard when we are on the porch, he cries and runs to one of us. It is hilarious. He is a strange one, for sure. He has the sweetest brown eyes you have ever seen, and his floppy ears are just too much. We love him, probably a little to much.

I had wanted a dog that would hop in the truck with me and go on adventures. Nope. TB gets carsick. Pukes every damned time. Our vet suggested Dramamine. Gave us a dosage based on his weight, and we gave it a shot. Didn’t work. I wish we could let him out to run. He would take off, though. We have 2 acres.. I don’t have the funds to fence it, traditionally, or the underground fence thingy.

Anyway, he is a good boy. He loved my mom and they spend a lot of time out on the porch together.

Our next cats will be kittens. I have not had a kitten in years. I have always adopted older ones. Snafu just showed up at our house one cold, snowy night. Nova we adopted from the shelter, and she was only 6 months old. So, still a kitten, but not a teeny tiny one. And I would love to foster older cats, but again, with the hubby lol. And I do not have anywhere to make a dedicated space for them if that was needed.

Someday. *sigh* Someday, I will be that strange old lady with 58304 cats that all the people in the hood speculate about! 😉

Hi. I am Jen. I lost myself for awhile. Here is where I talk about trying to find myself, trying to be better in all aspects of life. I am moody, unpredictable, opinionated, a realist (who really struggles with being a realist), loving, caring, kind, and mostly laid back. I love my family beyond measure. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated. I do not tolerate bigotry, racism, and or hatred.. you get nasty, you get blocked. I do not engage. Just be nice.. ;)
